Ep. 65 - The Challenge Continues

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

This week on Triple Advantage, we check in on our new one-shot writing challenge, argue about underwater encounters, and check out the most shocking moments in our campaigns.

This week on triple of vintage, wecheck in on our new one. Shout Writing Challenge, argue about underwaterencounters and check out the most shocking moments in our campaigns, asalways stay tuned to our social media, to see what we have coming next enjoythe show remembers of society, and I do have tosay I do apologize for the lack of good audio quality. On my end,I am working remotely and was not able to take my fancy microphone with me. So if there's any cutting out or Hartis,it is probably me unless it's not and then Ugie on either brain and Jordanbecasse ve it today, hello, guys. How are you doingthis wonderful Sunday morning? Keep searching the porting trade or ifwe can yeah and how are you doing a they drinking on that? Absolutely not at that unfortunate. So, let's get a quick recap guys. Lastweek we started a challenge and left on a little bit of a cliff hanger. Now to those who just watch thispodcast on a whim. The challenge was getting inspired by music. For storywriting so we actually went on one of dears ambience mixes and hit shuffleand from the first three songs that weheard we're going to be writing an adventure from it. So with that in mind, I don't actuallyknow I know the titles of the songs, but howabout we cover the music itself right now, at the end of the last week's episode,we actually listen to the first, the son that we would be. I guess we would have to drawer inspiration from so Jordan yeah for your three songs. What are the major themes that you picked out from them? Yeah, okay, so my three songs aredarkness by Miko, Tamara or Carmia. Sorry, God of war from the play station, video game and skirmish by midnight, Syni Syndicate, goodness I can talkEnglish, sometimes so those three had a little bit of difficulty, puttingsome of them together, but the major themes that I came across here where for darkness I had like itsounded like an underground lake or like a cavern, maybe like another otherworld, like a shadow, fell, type feel or an ethereal plane. I also thought oflike Caron's voyage, like care on the boatman from from the great mythologies, the guy whosteers everyone towards the underworld. So I figured that that was probably a goodlike middle peace like the voyage towards somethingsome sort of goal, and it goes through some sort of dark area or cavern or or even you know, traveling through toanother world kind of thing.

For God of war, it's the main theme. So it's a slowtrek. That's got like, I guess, like a very viking, feel there'sa constant slow like rhythmic beat that is in there. So it made me feellike either you're traveling through a treacherous layeror down into a volcano or an army, isadvancing upon. You know an unsuspecting town kind of thing. It's like that cut away scene thatbrings due to the villains and there, and you can just see the army coming upon the city. While you know the the heroes orwhatever are all like scrambling to try and figure out how to defeat thisgigantic army that they have no chance of defeating and then the last one isskirmish, which is, it may be be a little bitlike it's like a scouting type thing. You know where you go out and it's alittle bit lighter faster paced. It's it it. It was something that's going to be asmaller encounter. It felt like so maybe you're just escaping from alayer or you're fighting the creature. That really just wants you to leave. You don't really need to, like you know, kill this thing. It's not like angry atyou or anything like that, and the other thing I thought of was like maybethere's like traders that are trying to stop. You like you're ambushed, on theroad or or just like yeah bandits of some sort.So those are like the inspirations that that I felt, as Iwas pulling apart these these musicals, very nice, very nice. So for my threesongs, I got Alvin kings halls by invadable.Harmony have letter from prison by Dario Maanei. This is a featured in Paddington to movie I did not get to sea and for the final song I caughtinterior synthesis of polarity by an aid. All of these songs have a very different emotions associated to them. So, and Imean it comes to the territory. I guess I hit shuffle it's not going to be allin the same sunlands of them, but that's part of a challenge right, sooven. King's halls is what I would say, your very typical high, fantasy regalmusic and the first thing that I thought of when, when listening to this was you know, you're walking through like randal or like introducing from like a HighCamera Angle, your your majestic city or majestic environment. A letter from prison is a bit of a morejoyous song, I would say, and finally, we have interior synthesis ofparity, which is quite sint heavy. So between the two, this one was themost difficult one to sort of piece into at least the the story board thatI've that I've built out for this one shot of general themes. You're kind of half it because they don't overlap toomuch had to get creative, with the way that I'm approaching it so-...

...and you know I like, like I said rightlike for Elvin kings halls, almost very immediately like your exposition, Al Regal Soundtrack felt a little too easyand I'm still as I'm writing this out, I'm still somewhat struggling with trying to break away from that. It'slike May, maybe maybe I'll just cave, maybe just due to the nature of thischallenge. I'll just you know, pick the immediate sort of them here and justroll with it. Perhaps that's my best choice. I wantto try to see if I can twist it a little bit, but for the Second Song, I'm actuallynot going to be using it within the the the one shot itself. I don't plan to use itas backdrop to the actual one shot. Iactually plan to use it as an exposition tool for the actual adventure. Then you'll we'll get to we'll get moreof that in the later weeks once we start actually flushing out thesestories further, not for in theris interior. So this is a polarity. This gave me an idea- and I don't knowtechnically if this, at least with my exertest, perhaps brandall rich out toyou after, but regards to this particular song. Itgave me a very big sort of you guys have seeing the movie annihilationright. I don't think so, but no okay. Well then, this just became a littlebit harder to explain but annihilation a movie with a staringnal apartment is from from really quick sort of summerright here. This sort of alien pod is creating this zone on earth andit's causing rapid evolution to occur within the area, and you havea team of scientists leading the charge into trying to discover what what's theroot cause of this now without not not necessarily taking justdirectly from that, but the song gave me that sense of gave me that sense of change and thebecause it's so sint heavy it sort of fell in line with that movie. But onething to note about this particular piece is that it runs for about fiveminutes ten seconds, so I'm hoping that I can use as as players progress andget clues for the for the adventure, as they are sort of progressing through itto actually take samples from this song and start overlapping them on to oneanother kind of adding to that devolution or that theme of sort of like a changethat that I was getting from it and it does somewhat build in intensity andthere's certain aspects of the song in here that that are definitely a littlebit more intense than others. And I'm hoping that I can some somehowintertwine this with like actual player discovery within the campaign. So itactually changes the entire mood of the one shot as he progressed through it. But that's a that's it for me at themoment, we'll talk about a little bit more about the story outlines and thesecond, but the brain. What about your three sons? I got three that are very Tamati allytied, unlike you, so I think it's going to be a bit easier for me to kind of knit them together into one cohesivething. I...

...got the enduring pride by Jason GravesSilent Messenger by e Sigari Mar genius. I really hope in pronouncing that rightand black woods by mind midnight syndicate one of the best ambient since acts inthe game, and especially I mean Blackwood, says it right on the package, but all of them have a very forest at midnight kind of Ibe, very, like you're, walking along a dark trail and something is about to go wrong kindof you yeah. I think that's probably where I'm going to go with this iseither you start off in the forest and something happens or you're forced togo into the forest, because something has happened, not quite sure which wayI'm going to go with that. But that's generally what I'm thinking for thosethree interesting right. So, let's hear a quick oneminute pitch for other stories. Jordan! What's yours, O Venom, give me give me give me, give mean elevator pitch for your yeah sure it's going to be high level adventure.I think, and the adventure is going to be about adventures, going on a questfor a particular city. That's been at peace for quite some time, butsomething has changed and there is an army approaching and theadventurers will have to perform a certain task or risk theobliteration of their entire city. Ice Mine is going to be a request fromroyalty to find a missing person, the last notice of which has been a lettersthat they've been sending from their expedition that have mysteriouslystopped. The last letter yields some warningsand dangers ahead, and the adventurers will have to go into and rescue this individual if they can be for it's too late. What about you? Brian? Oh boy! I have not given this Thun. Some writing this right now, on the spot, make it up right now. I line is basedon the tail of the Pied Piper, where the town beside this dark forest every night on a full moon. It's becomes a portal to thefails where this dark fay comes through and uses a pipe to lead away. All thechildren in the town and you gosh, asked to it's. The full moons coming upand you've been tested to stand guard and to stop him and rescue the children. If anything happens, m cool are there going to be rats involved aswell. They better be all right. Well, society stay tunedwill be providing updates on these one shot each week, as we continue toadd on to them a on other outlandish news for the CO roll season to ended onThursday it did a comminative seven hour, long, nally episode, I've onlygone through. I think three and a half hours of it so far and I fell asleep, but my God it's been a while it's Imean I remember. I was at Your House Carlos for the first episode of that, washing it in your basement. That was two thousand and eighteen...

...honestly H. it's crazy to think because like- and Ifeel like this is true for a lot of INDE players. PERTICA role- definitely helped it it.At least you know, as a DM Mat, Mers has been one of the most notablefigures in the space as I've been you know, grown as I've been growing within thishobby myself. You know, so it's incredible to think that, likewe started, I think L I started watching critical role and campaign onewhen like like they met. Like I remember Iremember, the episode was like they met the laced in the under dark and theywere depending on whether or not to ally with it, and I had no idea whatany of that means, and now I see how crazy that was, but no it's just it's I'm excited tosee what they come up with next. Do you think Matt will make yet another setting, or will wesee another adventure in wild mound? Perhaps I think whatever it is it'sgoing to be a while before we see anything, I think that they've beenworking very hard for a long time and they need a break yeah. That's fair, that's true de because they went in from season one toseason to rather quickly as well. It was like a year or so, not even he wrote and designed an entire worldin that year I mean it's Cras. Yes, I wouldn't put it past Matt Mercer, though, to have been working on his next world already for the last yearand a bit already yeah, but that's even more exhausting. Oh, I know I know I'mnot saying he's going to jump into it right away, but I there's a good chance. He's already got. You know his base idea for the next thing that he's going to do. I mean I like as a fan. Obviously you know takeall the time you need, but I also somewhat feel like this is this is part of mats. You know everyday I like it's, an Nowlett o think about it's like it's not work when youlove what you do right and you can definitely tell that's true with Matt, especially when he's demand. When he's you know, with his family playing thisgame, that he loves and creating stories, which is you know it's palpable through the screen, howmuch he loves, writing and creating you know.So I wouldn't be like like during said, I wouldn't be surprised if there'ssomething in the works already, but by all means take all the time you needking yeah, yeah, crazy m culmination of this has beeninsane. I don't know if you guys are caught up yet, not so no spoilers, I'mworking on it, I'm getting close some only like you know, twenty is episodesbehind. That's all okay! So, like a good ninety hours, yeah exactly what about you Braden? How far behind? Are you? Well now? I'm on the very second last episode I just haven't seenthe latest one yet because seven hours is a lot yes that fight, though it's pretty cool, equal flannel bosses andhe's a crazy foot anyway, Jordan. I guess we can't talkabout it. You have maybe what we get you twoweeks, two weeks to watch ninety hours we roll here we go guys like, let's be real here, we've allbeen showson Ne Flix. I Like I've gone...

...through most of noto within, like Ithink it was like grade twelve in like the second semester, I pretty muchwatch like half of shippon. So it's possible yeah right just consume no other media. Yes, it wor just watch it at work. Just have yourphone on it at t, yeah, exactly I'm sure your boss will understand, but anyways. That's all I have thisweek for the echoes of the Allens make sure you keep tuned to see the updateson the UN shot that we're creating and, at some point we're going to be talkingabout the finale of critical role once Jordan. Finally, catches up or we havehad enough- and we would just want to talk about it- yeah, that's t like wehave the two will post the link to all of the POTIIsongs that we're using for our encounters on our twitter page to makesure you're following that to stay in the loop and if you want to getcreative with the sons that we're using by all means, send US suggestions, sendus ideas for maybe, if you have your own sort ofone shot, that these songs inspire you with. But for the time being, Jordan, Ithink it's time to get some learning done. Huh All right guys we're going tojump into the dungeon master's guide. We've been working through it we're nowon page one hundred and sixteen we're talking about like unusual environments, and we had just finished up talking aboutlike settlements and urban encounters and now we're going to talk about theweird things out there and the types of stuff that you can encounter along theway so traveling through the wildernessdoesn't always mean an overland trek. Adventures might fly open, apply theopen sea in a Carabo or an Oak, an elemental power galleon sore throughthe air on hippogriffs or a flying carpet, or ride giant sea horses tocoral palaces. Deep beneath the seat. All sorts of stuff can go on there under water is a big one, and it talkshere about how you can go to chapter nine of the players handbook for ruleson underwater combat, most of which is basically it's harder to swing a swordor cast certain magics within you know water, so yeah, I guess be careful of that so, but for today we're just going tofocus on the encounters and the rules surrounding like basic travel and thatsort of thing to random under see en counters. Youcan check this random undersea encounters as often as you would checkfor them on land. In my case. Never- and you can see chapter three of this-for when you would do random encounters the random undersea encounters table, presents several intriguing options. You can either roll on the table for arandom result or choose whichever one works best. So they've got a few different optionshere. They've got sunken ship covered in Barnicles, which has a twenty fivepercent chance that the ship contains treasure, which you also roll randomlyon treasure tables, which is in chapter seven for what's going to be in theresunken ship. The other options are like section sunken ship with reef sharks orhunter sharks around it again, with chances of there being treasures, beds of giant oysters, which have a onepercent chance of having a giant five thousand gold piece Pearl inside...

...would, would you guys actually use theone percent chance, or would you just decide whether it has the Pearl feel like if you're T is this? Is this is more in line with how Bretonyou handle looting poses, maybe how other our pts wouldhandle looting monsters in Gettin? So I would let the players roll and if theyget a one percent they find a pearl. I don't know, I don't know. If I wouldroll preemptively, though, would you I guess I guess to increasethat you could be like okay, so there's a bed of them so, like I guess, maybe there's like twenty to fit.Well, twenty inch, maybe or something like that- maybe a bit more, maybe less!I don't know, what's consider head and would you would like roll and if its atwenty percent or lower than you findone, maybe perhaps yeah, but Iwould also maybe add something else on that it would take like you know, goodthirty minutes, yeah for sure, open up more pearls m. It wouldn't just be likea what's the me this Mechacan World Warcraft, where you can pretty much just a like an auto lot. Mechanic right, itwouldn't be just like auto lute, was like everything in the area roll for. I,yes, no. I think I think it's cool, it's cool that the player rules for it,because then it gives them the sort of discovery feeling if they do hit thatone percent right, that's true! It's like the the theemotion of rolling one percent is directly tied with what I would assumeyou feel if you open a random pearl, a random clam and find a pearl inside ofit right. That's true, although, like I don't know, onepercent is very low. Chance just feels like it's a very rare thing. Yeah I mean I'm, never I've never goneand like shot clams for pearls, but a I get that there's that chance, but Idon't want to be like okay, guys roll the percenting hundred times, becauseyou find a hundred clams, you know and then still have them. Another oystersnot at landers is right oysters. So you know you know, I don't want them to roll ahundred times and still not find anything. I feel like that's that's alot of rolling for literally zero pay off. Okay! Well, how about this and do you let your players gamble in yourcampaigns and should they win more often in the gambling right, because, theoretically, theycould just you know if they're, if they're constantly playing street gamesof people and constantly losing money, that's also having no payoff. Yes, butthey are paying into that and there's actually a much higher chance that youwin at least one game of chance. Then you know a onepercent chance here. I don't know. I think I think it's A. Ithink it's a, I think it's a rare enough thing per.Maybe you can modify it to have it hired to, depending on what you're moreokay with in your campaign, but I think if, if it is rare enough in the realworld, I would make it rare enough in the game and also that would factorinto the the cost of naturally obtaining pearlsthrough shops in the campaign right like how much is a pearl in Pib that could directly be tied to the rarity of finding one right. It's a hundred gold pieces yeah like it's, not it's not a common thing...

...to like nothing like if pearls werefound quite readily. I don't think they would be worth a hundred gold piecesthat might start affecting. You know spell components that require a Pearl, yeah. Well, actually yeah. This is the chance of finding a giant Pearl. Iguess as well. So you could technically have the like, smaller ones. So, likethe giant five thousand gold piece Pearls, Oh yeah, yeah one, one percentis too high: Hyeah O leave it at one percent there Iwould say twenty five percent chance. All theplayers just completely do not follow any story beats because they find thatthey can make all the money they ever want by shucking oysters just spend an entire session and yourset for got. Guess I make the oysters themselves harder to find than theRablan the Pearl part. If they find the oysters, then you know there's a higherchance than one percent. So so your suggestion here is instead of makingthe fin, instead of making the reward harder to find you just kind of movethe finish line into an obscure point. Well that way the players don't feellike you know, oh well, we found this thing and it gave us zero things yea,but I don't think oysters are that rare to find giant oysters, giant oysters they canfind oysters sure and, like maybe there's some pearls and stuff like that, but giant oysters. You know just feels reductive yeah. I I just don't like not havingpay off. I guess I don't know I just especially in a specific like encounter.I don't know well, okay, society. If it depends how often you're going to do Idon't do. I don't do encounters very like you know, you know just like Willy.Nearly I wouldn't like be like Oh yeah, every hour, there's a you know, youknow what is this a a one and nineteen chance of you knowfinding you know a bed of oysters, which is you know, kind of how theymake this to be? is every hour there's a chance of this kind of stuff comingup? I would choose. I would be choosing theencounters ahead of time and maybe I'd rule. Maybe I wouldn't you know, but Ibe ahead of time and I wouldn't be doing you know eight encounters per dayof travel I'd be doing much less because I want the story to continue. Why are you focusing on the one percentfor the oysters? Because if I do choose that encounter, I don't want there tobe a one percent chance. I want there to be a higher chance because they'renot going to come across oysters again for a very long time. I guess I mean at this point. It justsounds like a tool for you as a DM to sort of funnel money into your players, pockets in a round o way a little bit but likeit could be like like it like it, roll for it still like. I could still rollon this table, but I'd only choose one encounter for a day or maybe less I'd.Maybe I'd choose one encounter for you know a week's worth of travel like I'm,not about you know taking that time during like travel time as like beingoh yeah, there's like fifty encounters along the way to your destination thatyou're trying to get to I'll, maybe throw in like two or three all right. I mean right. I don't knowso. If there's stuff, then the chances for me just need to be higher. I guessI think a one percent chance for five thousand gold to be found inside a noyster is relatively it's. Okay, that's like a...

...yeah like what's five thousand goal:That's like a rare magic item, a rare magic item. Maybe yeah, maybe like you're, notadventuring the chance of you finding like enough money to purchase that alsohave to find said, rare magic item in a shop and you know he's like it still is kind ofrandom. That way. So like yeah, it's nice, but it's not like. Oh, yes, we'regoing to be rich forever. It's like now! You can spend that all at once veryeasily kind of thing and I with anything yeah, I five sand gold worth of small. youthink the oceans yeah shops, have you no TIBUTA. I could dumpfive send gold. I could find ways to spend that you know Braden sure youcould too oh easy yeah all right. We went off on a big tangent there, sorry about that. But let's, let's continue on here now, so there's likeunderwater steam thence, there's sunken ruin statues, friendly and curious creatures. You've got you know, of course, shagsand Mur folks and Octopus and Dragon Turtle layers. There's storm giants apparently walkingon the ocean floor. That's pretty cool or bronze dragons searching fortreasures. There's sunk an treasure chest all thatstuff under water dragons. Yes, please! If there's any other dragons, I don'twant burn to get ideas already. Have Ideas Ready? Yes, yeah, there's some pretty cool creatures, youcan throw under water, but that means you need to have anunderstand, any guess of how underwater works in general so players, hand bookhas a little bit on underwater, combat and stuff, and then here it goes on totalk a little bit more about swimming. So unless you are aided by magic, acharacter can't swim for a full eight hours per day after each hour ofswimming, the character must succeed on a DC ten constitution, saving throat orgain at one level of exhaustion. A creature that has a swimming speed, including a character with a ring of swimming or similar magic, can swim allday without penalty and uses the normal forced march rules in the playershandbook, which is basically, you can move eight hours and then, after eighthours you have to start making constitution. Shaving throws or becomeexhausted, I'm so the average is one hour ofstraight swimming before you start rolling on exhaustion, tabless yea, that's insane yeah! I like I mean I'dlike to think I'm in average shape, and I don't think I could swim for thirtyminutes straight. Let Al Fuck! I don't even think I could sen for like yeah, like that's a lot of swimming, I'm just trying to picture that right now. That's exhausted, yeah, yeah yeah, obviously like I think throughoutthat you're probably going to have to like you know, float for a bit or, likeyou know, switch up your swimming style right. I'm not not well like to put itbeside it's. This is more of an anecdote to the yeah at a point againstit's just like. I understand that these are heroes were talking about and assuch they should be. They should have heroic endurance, but I was just thinking about the physical. The Sanyo had to be dead. The way before total right, well swimming indifferent areas also applies here so...

...like when you're swimming through deepwater, it's similar to traveling in high altitudes. So because of thewaters, pressure and cold temperature you'regoing to feel it a little bit differently. So for a creature with aswimming speed, each hour bent swimming at a depth greater than a hundred feetcounts as two hours for the purposes of determining exhaustion. So that's for a character with swimmingspeed. So if you don't have swimming speed, that's like four hours, I think prettywell and then swimming for an hour at a depth. Greater than two hundred feetcounts as four hours. If you have a swimming speed, which is that's kind of crazy, it's you don't travel very far veryfast at all. Underwater visibility is another thingyou have to think about. The visibility underwater depends on the water clarityand the available light. So unless characters have light, sources use the underwater encounter distancetable to determine the distance at which characters underwater becomeaware of possible encounters, so in clear and bright water they can see asfar as sixty whole feet in clear water but dim light. They cansee a whole thirty feet and in murky water or no light, you can see a grandtotal of ten feet ahead of you. That's that's reads like a lot yeah, I e NMurky Water and I can't see my own fucking hands right, yeah yeah, it'skind of crazy, all right. We spent quite a bit of time there. So I think, should I just keep goinghere now. Next time, we'll continue on with the sea and random, encounters atthe sea, etc, hopefully get into the sky as well, but for now I think I'llcall it here and let braiden take over for us all right. So, let's jump into talk ofthe town that segment where we ask you the Society of question that we answerthat question that we answer your anses to that question. The question thatwe're answering your answers to is a something that should have been pulledup on my phone, but I was distracted. Listening to Jordan, talk about thewater, sorry body, I'm currently running aunderwater yeah, so I was this is all actuallyvery, very important for you yeah I was. I was really sucked into listening tothat, but yeah. The question that we're going to talkabout this week is what is the most shocking moment. You've had in acampaign and most draw dropping moment where ye just like couldn't believethat it happened o that's a tough one, and why don't you go first, while Ithink about this great okay, I guess the most immediate one that comes tomind was so Braden had a character in Matt's campaign whowas evil the whole time and like I was under the impression that, like hischaracter was just you know, not a very good person and you know was going to be. You know abit of a like underhanded guy who's. Gonna, you know,do some shady things I you know was a little bit worried that you know he wasgetting too comfortable with some of the like big bads in the place, but Iwasn't anticipating full blown traitor from him. Oh, my g Gosh,...

...you know we we were preparing. After, like asession, we are talking with the group inside atavern like getting ready for what we were going to do about the bigbads in this town and then suddenly, one of the big beds burst through thedoor and points out hey by the way. I found you guys, because this guy's also,he told me kind of thing like you guys, have been betrayed and I was like whatwhat Breaden? Why would you do this? How could you so that that was a that was a prettylike shocking moment. I wasn't: Anticipating yeah the full blown trader they're like yeah, that that's the onethat comes to mind. That's like the freshest jaw. Dropping woman there'vebeen a few. The reveals for certain, I think, Braden when we walked into the underwater cavern with your ucatapeople, not o Gatoit, the motor who UTO. Thank you something else. Yes, I know Iwas immediately was like Oh shoot. That's a critical role thing the Cuacua when they had their own, like God therethat they had created. That was like Oh grab. What have we done? Why are wehere? This is this is bad so that that was pretty crazy. Yeah there have been there are. Thosemoments are some of my favorites for sure it just adds a whole lot of suspense toit, and I love it so yeah that those are the two that I canthink of like right off the top of my head here. But what about you? Carlos? Did I give youenough time yeah, you did. I see the thing from myshocking moment. I think I'm taking this question more as likethe moment that have caused, like the most like, oh moment as me,both as a DM and also as a player as a d M. I have a couple and to an AnilaCampaign, highlights a bunch of these, but in particular Leone at level tochallenging a CR five gladiator to Monomania and me having to so muchfudge that you're going to die in this combat, but they're just going to knockyou out the decision. There was questionable, but I think also very innocent. With regards to you know describing NC. You know you'renot going to just see power levels like Vigita when you're challengingopponents, but at a the end that was like a Oh fuck. I got to manage this now again in thesame in the same campaign, Leone grabbing terra folk and quite literally, just cliff, diving and doing a very rock Le Style head, but dive with them, maybe ultimate muscle, if you guys have seen that anime. But that was also ashock because they like plummeted. It good, like forty feet, good thing thatthey were that the a I was raging. But it was just like a shock to me becauseI did not expect the barbarian without any flight capabilities to literallyleap in the air to pile drive, a flying creature down a fucking, cliff side yea in it. The I gotta say that in your tyranny of dragons or I guess rise ofTmine, one of the biggest O ship moments I'vehad was when I was scouting ahead and...

I'll mind you, I will have to say thisdid not turn out to be as bad as I thought it would be, but running head first into a caveimmediately being met by a black dragon, all alone fed and not only being frightened, but alsobeing breathed. Some poison breath on to me now my Inde, I had completelyforgotten that I was immune to poison. At this point, the the general fright both as a playerand the condition that was instilled upon me at the beginning of that combat bit literally shook me, because I thinkI try to be a little careful with Torinin that campaign, because I actually do quite. I do really enjoy playing playing the monk. So I was like Oh no, I might just have died. I think I thinka good frent tyler mentioned this before and one of the previous answers, but along those lines also yonder revealing his true Asmar background. Ithink in the campagne I particularly just assumed that it was just like ahuman or some sort of other. You know regular race in NP or players available that hewas just kind of rolling with, but then he hit us with some light wings and it was pretty cool. Ican still beat him on a foot race, so so that's no worthy for the audience very proud of that one. I was also going to say the terrificthing, because that's still something that sticks out of my mind is like why.Why would you do that and you've just killed yourself, and I can't believethat we're sitting your having to deal with the ramifications of what you'vejust done for context for the listeners, ourparties was fighting terra folk flying terra folk on the side of a mountain, not like a hill. Like amountain, like a mountain like Oona, we were on a shirt tide, pretty much so we're fighting and our party barbarianis doesn't have necessarily range unlessthey fly down to him. So his solution to that was to jump up into the air andgrapple one of them and specifically saying he's like pinning it likepinning its wings down. So he said, feeds on this and thenrealizes that he's just jumped off of a cliff side, grabbed on to the onlything that can fly around here and made it so that it can't fly and they'reboth in a full free fall. Just plummeting off the side of this cliff. We don't know exactly how high up we are, but it's a it's a mountain you luckily, Carlos is quick thinking, resulted in a lot of damage without actually killing him, but that is amoment where I think he absolutely could have died and probably shouldhave, and I'm sitting there waiting for histurn to come up like okay, see live. He did he just gone. Okay, Yep. The amount of time that charactershould have died is sick, insane yeah, but yes, that I can't think mycharacter has done yeah my character. That campadero hasprobably should have died a few times. Well, weall showed that I did that yeah yeah yeah, I mean the Ra random things, always yepall the time, yep always drink the random stuff, guys it's important, otherwise, you'll never know if it was good or bad. Do that thing, lady tell Isure I describe when you were in the the Anti Temple, I'm pretty sure Idescribed...
